Many web hosting user even don’t know the difference between cloud hosting and web hosting so here we discuss
What is Web Hosting and Cloud Hosting?
Basically both hosting are not the same actually web hosting is only for those who are beginners or small web website or business owner who want to host their site or domain
For example, you have purchased a new domain recently and you thought that your website have not enough visitors then you have to purchase web hosting service for that domain
But if you are not a beginner and you are a pro also your website traffic is more than usual then you have to go for cloud hosting service
But actually you don’t know that what is the difference between cloud hosting and web hosting you should know that before purchase any hosting service.
What is the difference between cloud hosting and web hosting?
I will explain here deeply so you have basic knowledge about computers and cloud computing so you can understand easily
Normally web hosting is based on a shared server which means you don’t have server root access so if you want to install any custom software you need server root access
But in cloud hosting, you have root access like a dedicated server
But remember that your cloud server is not a dedicated server its a normal virtual machine like VMWare etc
The virtual machine ( cloud hosting ) is a part of the dedicated server
We can easily upgrade or downgrade virtual machine because it’s based on cloud computing
Web Hosting and cloud hosting same but you can use only 1-2cpu in web hosting but in cloud hosting you can use more than 10-12 virtual CPUs
Cloud hosting also better than normal web hosting
if you want to purchase more than 1cpu then go for cloud hosting but if you want to use 1cpu only you can go for shared hosting which is low costly
How to create your own virtual machine ( cloud web hosting ) with dedicated server?
Download putty and login to server with your username and password 😉
Open a Shell Terminal (e.g. PuTTY) and SSH to your server. Run the following commands:
wget -N http://files.virtualizor.com/install.sh chmod 0755 install.sh ./install.sh [email protected] kernel=kvm
Please give the email address correctly !
once installation complete you can create virtual machine and install your favourite os 😉
