What you keep
On your own store the customer list, the email addresses and the repeat orders are yours. You set the prices, run your own offers and send your own WhatsApp and email updates.
Many sellers do both: list on a marketplace for discovery and send repeat buyers to their own site, where there is no commission. The hosting cost of that second channel is ₹1,788 a year on Professional.

What is ecommerce hosting?
It is web hosting for an online store: PHP and MySQL for the store software, SSL so checkout runs on https, email on your domain for order mails, and enough room for product images. Our shared plans include all of that; there is no separate, more expensive ecommerce tier.
Which store software should I use?
For most small Indian businesses, WooCommerce: it has the most themes, plugins and Indian payment gateway plugins. OpenCart and PrestaShop are good if you want a store-only system. All three run on every plan.
Can I run Magento or Shopify here?
No. Shopify is a hosted service and does not need web hosting. Magento needs more memory than shared hosting provides; run it on a VPS instead.
How do customers pay?
Through a payment gateway such as Razorpay, Cashfree or PayU. Each has plugins for WooCommerce, OpenCart and PrestaShop. Customers pay by UPI, card, net banking or wallet, and the gateway settles to your bank account.
Do you charge per order or take a commission?
No. You pay only the hosting fee shown above. The payment gateway charges its own fee per transaction.
Do I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Every payment to HostKarle comes with a GST invoice you can download from the client area.
What if it is not right for me?
Ask within 2 days (48 hours) of your first purchase and we refund the hosting fee in full. After that, refunds are only given for a prolonged outage on our side. Domain names are never refundable because the registry charges us the moment they are registered. Read the full refund policy.
