Every extension, with the renewal price next to it
Most "cheap domain" offers in India are first-year prices. The table shows what you pay to register and what you pay a year later, so the cheap .in or .com you buy today is still cheap in year two. Prices are in rupees per year; GST extra where applicable.
| Extension | Register (1 year) | Renew (1 year) | Transfer |
|---|---|---|---|
| .in | ₹901.94 | ₹901.94 same price | Check at checkout |

Read the Renew column before you buy. .in, .co.in, .com and .net renew at exactly the registration price. .org renews at ₹1,454.31. The .xyz, .online, .shop, .info, .co and .site prices are first-year registry promotions that renew at the higher figure shown; a ₹243.35 .shop becomes ₹3,918.71 in year two. Transfer prices vary by extension and are shown in the checkout before you pay. All prices exclude GST.
Which extension should I pick?
For an Indian business the honest answer is usually one of three. Pick by who your customers are and where they are, not by which one is cheapest this week.
.in — ₹901.94 a year
India's own country code. Best when your customers are in India: a clinic in Kannur, a coaching centre in Siliguri, a CA firm in Kochi. Google treats a .in as India-targeted by default, and short names are still free where the .com is long gone. Anyone can register one; no company papers needed.
.co.in — ₹710.74 a year
The cheapest of the three and just as Indian. It reads as "company in India", so it suits a registered business, a shop or a trading firm. The catch is length: some customers will type the .in by mistake. If the .in is free, take the .in; if it is taken, .co.in is a solid second.
.com — ₹1,273.73 a year
Still the default the world types. Pick it if you sell outside India, run a SaaS or app, or want the name nobody questions. Short .com names are scarce, so you may need a longer one. Many businesses register the .com and the .in together and forward one to the other so nobody else can trade on the name.
Skip .xyz, .online and .shop unless you have looked at the renewal price and are happy with it. They are fine for a one-year project or a campaign page, but a business that will keep its name for years is better served by a .in or .com that costs the same every year.
What's included in the price
The price in the table is the whole price. Nothing on this list is an add-on, and nothing is switched on in the cart without you asking.
Free DNS management
Edit A, CNAME, MX and TXT records from your client area. Point the name at our hosting, at Google Workspace, at a Shopify store, or anywhere else, at no charge.
Free WHOIS privacy
Your name, phone and address are hidden from the public WHOIS record wherever the registry allows it, so the domain does not bring a flood of spam calls and "SEO offer" emails.
Easy nameserver change
Change nameservers yourself in a minute, or ask us by ticket and we do it. Moving hosts later does not mean moving the domain.
Auto-renew reminders
Reminder emails go out well before the expiry date, and you can switch on auto-renew so a busy month never costs you the name.
GST invoice
A proper GST invoice for every order, downloadable from the client area. Add your GSTIN to your profile and it prints on the invoice.
UPI payment
Pay with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or any UPI app, or with a RuPay, Visa or Mastercard card, net banking or a wallet. Charged in rupees. Details
Point it at HostKarle in three steps
You do not have to move a domain to host with us. Keep it at GoDaddy, BigRock, Namecheap or wherever it lives, and change two nameservers. Your old registrar keeps billing you for the domain; we bill only the hosting.
Log in to your current registrar
Open the domain's settings and find the section called Nameservers, DNS or Name Servers. Choose "custom" nameservers rather than the registrar's defaults.
Enter our two nameservers
Replace whatever is there with ns1.fastnsdns.com and ns2.fastnsdns.com. Remove any third or fourth entry. Save.
Wait for DNS to update
Most visitors see the new site within an hour or two; a few networks take up to a day. Your free SSL is issued automatically once the name reaches us. Stuck? Send us a ticket with your registrar login and we do it for you.
Prefer to transfer the domain to us? Unlock it at the old registrar, get the authorisation (EPP) code, and start the transfer from the checkout. Most transfers add a year to the registration. A domain registered or moved in the last 60 days cannot be transferred yet, and the domain stays live throughout.
Add hosting from ₹99 a month in the same checkout
Register the domain and pick a plan below, and we connect the two: website, free SSL and business email on your new name, with nothing to configure. Every plan renews at the price shown. Compare all shared hosting plans.

How much does a .com domain cost in India?
At HostKarle a .com domain costs ₹1,273.73 a year to register and ₹1,273.73 a year to renew, plus GST where applicable. Many Indian registrars advertise a .com for a few hundred rupees in the first year and then renew it at ₹1,500 or more, so compare the second-year price, not the headline.
How much does a .in domain cost?
A .in domain is ₹901.94 a year at HostKarle and renews at ₹901.94. A .co.in is cheaper at ₹710.74 a year, also renewing at the same price. Both are run by NIXI, India's registry, and both are open to anyone; you do not need a registered company to buy either.
Is the renewal price the same as the registration price?
For .in, .co.in, .com and .net, yes: the renewal price is the price in the table. For .org, .xyz, .online, .shop, .info, .co and .site the first year is a registry promotion and the renewal is the higher figure in the Renew column, for example .xyz is ₹211.48 in year one and ₹1,592.40 from year two. We show both so you can decide with the full number in front of you.
Can I pay for a domain by UPI?
Yes. Checkout runs on Razorpay and Cashfree, so you can pay with any UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), a Visa, Mastercard or RuPay debit or credit card, net banking or a wallet. Everything is charged in rupees. We do not take PayPal, cash or cheques.
How long does domain registration take?
The domain is usually registered within a few minutes of the payment clearing, and it appears in your client area straight away. If you bought hosting with it, the site, free SSL and email are linked automatically. DNS changes can take a few hours to reach every network in the world, so a brand-new name may not open everywhere in the first hour.
Can I transfer my existing domain to HostKarle?
Yes. Unlock the domain at your current registrar, ask them for the authorisation (EPP) code, then start the transfer from our checkout and paste the code in. For most extensions a transfer adds a year to the registration. A domain registered or transferred in the last 60 days cannot be moved yet; that is a registry rule, not ours.
Do you offer a free domain with hosting?
No. We do not bundle a free domain, because free domains are usually paid for by a higher hosting renewal. Instead the domain is priced honestly on this page and hosting starts at ₹99 a month on a yearly plan, renewing at the same ₹99. Buy both in one checkout and we connect them for you.
Is WHOIS privacy included?
Yes, at no charge, wherever the registry allows it. For .com, .net, .org and most other extensions your name, address, phone and email are hidden from the public WHOIS record. Some registries set their own rules on what is shown, so check the domain's settings in your client area after registration.
Do I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Every order gets a GST invoice in your client area that you can download for your accounts. Add your GSTIN to your client profile before you pay and it is printed on the invoice. GST is added on top of the prices shown, where applicable.
Do I need hosting to buy a domain?
No. You can register a domain on its own and park it, forward it or point it at any host later using our free DNS management. When you are ready for a website, add a hosting plan from your client area and the domain is connected automatically. Note that domains are never refundable, so check the spelling before you pay.
