What is my IP address? Here it is.
This is the public IP address your device is using right now, the one every website sees, along with your internet provider and rough location. Free, no ads and no trackers.
Your browser reached us over IPv4. If your provider also gives you IPv6, sites that support it may see a different, IPv6 address.

What your IP address says about you, and what it does not
An IP address is the return address on every request your device sends. Websites need it to send the page back. It reveals less than people fear, but more than nothing.
Your provider
Every public address belongs to a block registered to an organisation, identified by an AS (autonomous system) number. That is how this page knows who your ISP is: Jio is AS55836, Airtel AS24560 and AS45609, BSNL AS9829.
Your rough area
Geolocation databases map address blocks to the city where the provider uses them. It is usually right about the country and often off by a city or two, especially on mobile data.
Not your name or home
Only your provider can match an IP to a customer, and only with legal paperwork. A website sees the address, the browser details below it, and nothing about who you are.
Why would I need to know my IP?
Hosting customers ask us for it every week. You need your IP to whitelist yourself in a firewall, to unblock yourself after too many wrong passwords on a control panel, to allow remote MySQL access, or to tell support what to look for in the logs. If HostKarle support asks for your IP, copy the address above and paste it into the ticket.
Same IP, many people
Mobile operators in India put thousands of customers behind one IPv4 address (carrier-grade NAT). If a site blocks "your" IP for spam, it may really be someone else on the same operator. IPv6 avoids this, because each connection gets its own address.
Look up a different address
To check any other IP or a domain name, or a list of up to 100 addresses at once, use the IP lookup. For a network's AS number, name and its IP ranges, use the ASN lookup. To find which company hosts a website, use the hosting checker.

What is my IP address?
The big number at the top of this page. It is the public IP address your device uses on the internet right now, as our server saw it. Every website you open sees this same address. At home it usually belongs to your broadband router; on mobile data it belongs to your operator, and many phones share it.
Who is my ISP?
The "ISP / network" line shows the organisation that holds the block of addresses your IP comes from, with its AS number. For most people in India that is Jio, Airtel, BSNL, Vi, ACT Fibernet, Hathway or a local cable broadband company. If you use a VPN or a proxy, you will see the VPN company instead.
Why does the location show a different city?
IP location is an estimate. Your operator registers address blocks centrally and routes traffic through a few big hubs, so a Jio or Airtel mobile IP often shows Mumbai, Delhi or Bengaluru even if you are somewhere else. Country is nearly always right; city is a guess, and no website can get your street address from an IP.
What is the difference between IPv4 and IPv6?
IPv4 addresses look like 49.36.12.80 and there are only about 4 billion of them, so operators share them between customers. IPv6 addresses look like 2405:201:abcd::1 and there are enough for every device to have its own. Jio and Airtel give most phones and fibre connections IPv6. This page shows whichever one your browser used to reach us.
Is my IP address private or public?
The address on this page is public: it is what the internet sees. Your phone or laptop also has a private address inside your Wi-Fi, usually 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x, which only your router knows. You can look up any address, public or private, with our IP lookup.
Why does my IP keep changing?
Most home and mobile connections in India get a dynamic IP: the operator hands out a new one when the router restarts or the phone reconnects. A fixed (static) IP costs extra from most ISPs. Websites hosted with us do not need one; your site gets a stable server address from HostKarle.
Do you store my IP address?
This page does not save your address or the lookup. Like every web server, ours keeps a normal access log for security, which is kept only for a limited time. There are no third-party trackers on this page; the lookup uses a database on our own server.
