Why does it say "Up (blocks bots)"?
www.irctc.co.in answers our checker with HTTP 403 (forbidden), which is how its bot protection treats automated visitors, especially ones from outside India. A 403 still proves the server is switched on and answering. If the check ever times out or returns a 5xx error instead, that is a real problem.
