What exactly do you check for UPI (NPCI)?

UPI payments themselves run on NPCI's private network, which no outside tool can test, so the user reports below are the better signal for UPI. We record whether it answered, the HTTP status and the response time, and keep 7 days of results. We do not log in, make payments or test the mobile app.
UPI (NPCI) shows as up, but it is not working for me. Why?
The public website can be fine while logins, payments, the app or your own network are failing. Try another network (mobile data instead of Wi-Fi), update the app, and press "Report a problem" on this page so others can see it is not just them. A burst of reports in one hour is a strong sign of a real outage.
